Between November 2025 and March 2026, Version 2 turned Polandball Go from a collection game into a full strategy experience. Here’s what that era delivered.

Patch 2.0: Quests and alliance identity

Version 2 opened with level-up quests that reward you as you grow your army, alliance territory colors so your alliance’s conquests stand out on the map, a raised Influence cap, abilities for over 50 characters, and a reworked UI across Influence, Recruitment and My Army.

A banner every month

The Version 2 era set the expansion rhythm the game still follows today:

  • Empires at War (2.1) — the WW1 empires made their debut: Russian Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, German Empire and more.
  • Lords of the Holy Age (2.2) — Medieval Europe arrived with the Papal States, Angevin Empire and Kingdom of England, plus shard crates, levels 12–20, renameable territories and characters, Battery Saver mode, and Dark Mode map styles.
  • Ballsmas (2.4) — holiday versions of fan-favorite characters, a festive event with free rewards, and a territory viewer that renders up to 9 km.
  • Mandate of Heaven (2.5) — the biggest combat update in the game’s history: the Evolution of Combat streamlined battling, and Polbie Types arrived — 15 types with strengths, resistances and synergies. Over 20 new Polbies joined, along with gifting, daily free bundles and mini combat animations.
  • Sword and Sickle (2.8) — the Soviet Union and the Cold War era closed out Version 2.

Alliances grow up

Patch 2.3 added achievements and alliance chat tools, and Liberty or Death (2.6) gave alliances real progression: Alliance Levels, alliance quests, Political Capital for alliance-wide boosts, Alliance Tokens and an Alliance Shop, plus Elemental Orbs to upgrade your combat proficiencies.

The era ended with a bang in Ballsnar New Year (2.7): a Lunar New Year banner, Shardlings and Elemental Orbs appearing on the map — and the launch of the PvP Beta, the first time players could battle each other directly.
